About Us

Meet our Trainers

At Bam Bam we believe and live by our motto

“Be Better Everyday”

and it’s something we want to help our members learn to live by also.

There’s a saying that reads:

“Boxing is a kind of magic. It gives discipline to the wild, strength to the weak & confidence to the shy.”

We believe this to be true. No matter what walk of life you come from a boxing gym is a great equaliser and is an environment that welcomes all.

Here at Bam Bam we want you to become the best version of yourself and we want to do everything we can to help you achieve that.

My boxing journey started when I was 15 years of age. After being thrown out of multiple schools due to bad behaviour, I ended up at a school for troubled youths known as The Frank Dando Sports Academy.

At the time, Paul trained a bunch of the worlds most notable fighters such as Tasis “Tosca” Petridis and Salvatore “Sam” Greco. After pestering for months, asking Paul if I could train with him and asking him to hold pads after school for me, I was fortunate enough for him to finally give me the opportunity to come and train with his fighters out of his home/gym in Chadstone.

Having my first fight at 16 years old in the ISKA under the coaching of Ziad Zakaria and winning a ISKA Victorian title fight in a tournament with multiple fights in the one day.

I then at 19 years old started fighting amateur boxing and fighting to a record of 4 wins and 1 loss.

I’m currently fighting professionally holding a record of 4 wins, no losses and 3 by way of KO.

Boxing has become my life and has given me so much more than I would’ve known back as that 15 year old boy.

I now hope to give others what boxing has given me. Especially to the youth of Melbourne and Australia.

Training began at age 12 in kung fu and kickboxing — a happy place, an outlet for energy, and a way to stay out of trouble. At 19, that dedication paid off with a win at the Australian All Styles Championships in the welterweight division, going 5 from 5 before transitioning into boxing. Along the way, I had the privilege of training under elite coaches including Dave Lacey and Paul Fyfield.

Coaching began at 20 and never stopped. Over two decades, the roster has included state and national amateur champions, world champions in Muay Thai, and some of Australia’s most recognised fighters — including the likes of Sam Soliman and Michael Zerafa. From a child walking into a gym for the first time to a seasoned competitor stepping up in weight, the goal is always the same: leave better than you arrived.

Every client — whether a child just starting out or a champion fighter — deserves a positive experience and steady improvement every single day. Bam Bam Boxing is a place for anyone and everyone: a community built on mateship, great vibes, and bringing out the best in every person who walks through the door.

Growing up, I was always active and loved sport, but from the age of 12 I lost that path and spent my teenage years binge drinking and living an unhealthy lifestyle.

By 20, it had caught up with me, I was in a bad place physically and mentally. I knew something had to change, so I joined an MMA gym, started kickboxing, and quickly fell in love with the training. Not just because I was losing weight and getting fit but because it started giving me confidence, discipline, resilience, and a completely new direction in life

I began competing and had a handful of inter-clubs/amateur fights, before transitioning to K1 and Muay Thai and had a total of 8 professional fights.

After later moving into MMA, I tore my ACL just weeks before my debut, which led to a long recovery and 2-3 years off from consistent training.

As soon as I was able to kick again, I moved to Thailand and then Bali, spending over a year training, travelling and competing.

I returned home to Melbourne in 2024, shifted my focus to boxing, and started Box with Kate.

Now, this is what I’m all about – helping women build confidence, strength, and resilience through boxing. Because I know what it feels like feel insecure, disempowered, disconnected, and lost.

And I also know how powerful it is to come out the other side.
